Above The Fold:

Selecting A New Bishop:
St. John's is participating in the selection process for the new diocesan bishop. David Houser and Janet Standen have been selected to represent the parish at a convention specially convened for the election. Father Troy, as a canonically resident clergyman in the diocese, will also participate and elect the new bishop. They represent you, so feel free to speak with them about the process.

You're Invited To A Parish-Wide BBQ At The Crook's:
Ruth Crook invites everyone to a spring chicken BBQ affectionately called Crook-O-De-Mayo, which will be held on Saturday, May 5th from 5:00 p.m. until the last guest goes home (chicken will be served around 7:00 p.m.). Though your company is all that is expected, Ruth suggests that those who feel compelled to do so may bring a lawn chair, a favorite spring-time beverage, and a side dish or dessert. Guests are certainly welcome to bring friends. The party will be held at the Crook's home: 2037 Walker Ave., College Park, GA.

Choral Guild of ATL Concert:
The Choral Guild of Atlanta will perform their last concert of the 2011-2012 season at St. John's on Saturday, May 5th, at 4:00 p.m. The program features works about Georgia and by Georgia composers. The event is free and open to the public. For more information about the Choral Guild of ATL, click here.
